A celebratory memorial service was held Sunday, September 9th at Oak Ridge High School (map). Many people (400+) attended, spanning Johns theater career; from the 1968 production of Hansel & Gretel to his current students, all celebrated his lifelong passion and contribution.

Another celebratory memorial service was held Sunday, October 7 in Saratoga. The from Childrens Musical Theater of San Jose, West Valley Light Opera, Saratoga Drama Group Lyric Opera (formerly Gilbert & Sullivan Society) and Lincoln High School put on a lovely tribute to John. .

As many of you knew, John had an abiding interest in promoting organ donation, especially as he was the recipient of two kidney transplants. It will please you to learn that John will be able to donate his liver and his donated kidney to continue this circle of life.

John's family would also like you to consider a donation in John's name to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the United Network for Organ Sharing in lieu of flowers.

John loved the theater and all the people he worked with at Oak Ridge High School, Lincoln High School, El Dorado Musical Theater, San Jose Children's Musical Theater ( SJCMT historical site) , and in the various community theaters.  Thank you for enriching his life with your talent and enthusiasm.

The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 29th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (map) at 11:00AM, to be followed by a reception. There will ba a private interment at Green Valley Cemetery
